As an independent architect (AKNW) and long-standing manager in the housing industry, I bridge the gap between technical building analysis and strategic real estate economics.
Germany's building stock has a problem: for decades, too little has been invested in maintenance — that is no secret. The question that usually arises today is a different one: where do we put the next euro — and which measure can wait? And, connected to that: who makes this decision, and on what basis?
This is exactly the field I worked in for eleven years at LEG: analysing and assessing buildings, quantifying maintenance backlogs and modernisation potential, comparing measure options with their costs and prioritising budgets in a traceable way. The decision stays with you. My job is to provide the basis for it: independently assessed, transparently quantified — without site supervision and without any interest in carrying out the works myself.
